"Spring Break" & Birthday Cake

Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Sarah. She was poor. Her birthday was coming up. Her birthday was in Spring Break. But she did'nt know what Birthday dinner she wanted. So her mom gave her clues. But...she didn't like those dinners. But her mom said she has to get used to things she didn't like. But she reminded her mom that it was her birthday and so she got to choose.
She wanted to choose ice-cream for dinner. But her mom said no because that was a dessert not a dinner. So she chose spaghetti. But they didn't have the stuff to make spaghetti. So she chose creamed eggs. But they didn't have the stuff to make creamed eggs either. They had none of the things to make what she liked! And it was already her birthday! So they didn't know what to do! But then she decided to go into the other room. And she turned on the light and before she could think, people poped out of nowhere, and said suprise! And they had dessert first and dinner last! And than they had presents! And that was her birthday! She didn't feel poor anymore because she was happy.
By SEG, 1 week shy of 7 years old.
She had to write a story for school and this is what she came up with about a week before her birthday.
And the birthday report was: Success. We had Green Eggs & Ham for dinner, but not before we had Ice Cream FIRST. She loved it... and the cake. No one needs to really know where I got the doll from... But making the cake and adding the pixie dust was a blast.

So, the way I did the doll was just to put the cake batter in cupcake tins and then flip them over, use a few toothpicks to help steady them and then frost! It was so easy and so fun!

  2. It's like this cake decorating glitter stuff... Beth and I learned about it in our cake decorating class a few years ago. I ended up getting some with a coupon and forgot about it. Then, after making the cake and decorating, I spotted it in my stuff. Perfect touch!
